Server-side tracking

Shopify server-side tracking and CAPI

One Shopify app sends your orders to Meta, Google, TikTok, and Microsoft server-side, matched to the click that earned them and deduplicated against your pixels. Set up in one click.

Server-side tracking, native to Shopify

Shopify checkout data is the authoritative record of a sale. Trakt reads it server-side and forwards each order to your ad platforms with the click id attached, so the conversions your browser pixels lose to ad blockers and cookie limits are reported from a place none of that can reach.

  • One-click install as a Shopify app, no theme edits or code
  • Orders forwarded to Meta CAPI and Google offline conversions
  • Joined to the browsing session via the checkout token, not a fragile cookie
  • Refund-aware, so returns reverse against the campaign that earned the sale

How the match works

The checkout token is the join key

When a shopper completes checkout, Trakt links the checkout token to the browsing session that carried the click id. The order webhook arrives server-side with the real revenue, and Trakt joins the two. The storefront supplies identity, the platform supplies truth, and the sale never depends on the browser cooperating.

Running both storefronts? One account.

If you sell on Shopify and WooCommerce, Trakt tracks both under a single account with the same server-side push. See the WooCommerce side on the how it works page.

Run it in shadow mode first and see exactly which conversions your pixels are missing before anything is sent.
